WELEDA FEVER! Zippy review + giveaway

Hi guys!

Remember when I reviewed this Weleda gem? Well, I've got another Weleda review. Aaaand, another giveaway. Woot! This is the little cutie I'm reviewing today:

Say hello to Weleda's Wild Rose Body Lotion! Packed with Rosehip oil, Jojoba oil, Hammelis (that's witch hazel for toning purposes!) and unsaturated fatty acids (good for those on a diet?), this stuff claims to be a rich lotion that keeps the skin's oil and water levels in check and gets you hydrated and even-toned.

When I first delicately opened ripped open the box, I was delighted to find a glass bottle inside. I don't know about you, but I have a thing for beauty things in glass bottles. And glass bottles in general. I absolutely ADORE the packaging of this lotion. It's pretty and I enjoy showcasing it on my dressing table. I'll probably keep it once it's finished, just because. May turn it into a tiny vase.

Now onto the first sniff. TBH, I don't dig rose-scented things. I find it a bit grannyesque. This smells rosy and slightly planty. The scent isn't an overpowering, Gran-style rosy, but it's rosy nonetheless. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. It's doable.

Now onto the first slather. Here's where things get real good. Firstly, this stuff feels light as air. It feels like nothing on the skin. Good for summer when we're all sweating like hogs, yes? It absorbs quicksmart, too. I'll slather one arm and by the time I finish the other one, the first arm already feels normal. Normal meaning it doesn't feel like it's covered in goo. It just feels like my skin. I LOVE THIS. This means I can actually use it in the morning and then slap on my clothes soon after. And the scent left over is verrrrry subtle, so there are no issues with perfume. Good.

Now onto the results. The skin on my body is fairly normal, but with this it feels and looks good. Extra soft and hydrated. You know when you slap on some rosehip oil before hitting the hay and then the next day your mug looks fresh and well-nourished? Like that. But aaaaall over my body. It does very well. I haven't seen too much in the way of toning (that could be because I'm currently the size of a small hippopotamus), but I've definitely noticed my skin looking and feeling better.

P.S. Make sure you take care when pouring out the lotion. Sometimes it gets a little too keen and wants to get out a little too quickly.

Hit up weleda.com.au for info on stockists. I've heard the good peeps at Echolife stock Weleda... ;) Hit up Echolife here.

Now onto the giveaway! I have 5 of these natural beauties to give away. To enter, you have to be a blog follower and leave me a comment stating your name and email addy. That's it!

Go forth and enter!

Sounds like a beautiful body lotion, I need mine to soak in quick as I'm so impatient with lotions and want to get on with things quickly. I quite like rose scents so this could be amazing for me :)

  7. He he, you're well informed ;) We do stock them! I LOVE products packaged in thick glass - so old-timey. I've had a sniff of this before and it's not overpowering when all is said and done, which is nice. I hate a lotion that thinks it's perfume!
